A memorandum of cooperation has been signed to establish a high-tech LED display manufacturing plant in Alatau City, Almaty Region, involving BOE Technology Group Co., Ltd., a global leader in display technologies. The agreement was concluded during the international business forum  Alatau Invest 2025 between the regional Department of Entrepreneurship and Industrial-Innovative Development and the Chinese technology company.

The project is planned for implementation in Alatau City, which is being developed as a digital hub and center for innovative manufacturing. The city’s infrastructure, logistics capabilities, and smart city concept were cited as key factors in selecting the site for the new production facility. The plant is expected to contribute to the formation of a modern industrial ecosystem, support the development of related sectors, and create new jobs.

According to Isakov Akzhol, Director of the Almaty Region Development Center, the arrival of BOE marks an important step in strengthening the technological base of both Alatau City and the region as a whole, reinforcing Almaty Region’s position as one of Kazakhstan’s most investment-attractive areas.
