Chairman of the Respublica party and Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan’s deputy Khodzhanazarov Aidarbek held meetings with entrepreneurs in the Almaty region to discuss state policy on economic development, job creation and support for regional industrial clusters. During the visit, he emphasized the importance of strengthening the real sector of the economy and expanding domestic production as part of Kazakhstan’s import‑substitution strategy.
The first stop was the PENOPLEX Kazakhstan plant in Alatau City, which produces energy‑efficient thermal insulation materials for residential, commercial and infrastructure construction. The enterprise supplies the domestic construction market and contributes to the localization of industrial production. Discussions with business representatives focused on fair taxation, promoting locally produced construction materials in public and corporate procurement, increasing Kazakh content in supply chains, and protecting the trademarks of domestic manufacturers. The deputy also visited a reinforced concrete sleeper and building materials plant, as well as a beverage production facility in the region.
Summing up the visit, Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan’s deputy Khodzhanazarov Aidarbek noted that such regional engagement aligns with the priorities outlined by President Kassym‑Jomart Tokayev, including support for non‑resource industries and sustainable economic growth. He highlighted Alatau City’s special status as a tool for accelerated development and investment attraction, rather than a privilege, stressing that the city is envisioned as the region’s first fully digital city and a symbol of technological progress and a comfortable living environment. Following the trip, Respublica parliamentary deputies will continue working with citizens’ and entrepreneurs’ requests in cooperation with relevant government agencies.
