Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bozumbayev Kanat took part in the presentation of Alatau City’s architectural development concept, unveiled by two leading international firms-Zaha Hadid Architects and Skidmore, Owings & Merrill LLP (SOM). The companies, whose portfolios include landmark projects such as Burj Khalifa in Dubai and One World Trade Center in New York, presented their vision for shaping the city’s modern urban identity.

The architects introduced the design code for Alatau City and concept designs for the Iconic Building, envisioned as the city’s flagship business center and architectural landmark. The proposed solutions focus on vertical development and supertall construction, aligned with international quality standards and contemporary urban planning principles.

Special attention was given to an integrated approach to city development, incorporating transport infrastructure, access roads, natural landscapes, climate considerations, and the priority development of public spaces. Concluding the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bozumbayev Kanat thanked the firms for their conceptual proposals, with both sides expressing readiness to continue cooperation on the development of Alatau City.
