Kazakhstan’s Alatau City project is drawing attention as a forward-looking model for global cooperation in education and artificial intelligence (AI). During the “ALATAU RISE With Kazakhstan” international roadshow held in Seoul, Kazakhstan government officials shared strategies to build an integrated ecosystem for future industries.
Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nurbek Sayasat emphasized that Alatau City will serve as an innovation hub uniting leading universities and research institutions worldwide. He noted that Kazakhstan will provide land and infrastructure free of charge, and over 40 universities from the United States, France, Germany, the U.K., Korea, China, and Italy are already joining the campus initiative.
Vice Minister of AI and Digital Development Mun Dmitriy highlighted that Alatau City will implement AI-driven governance to enhance efficiency across agriculture, healthcare, and education sectors, replacing traditional bureaucracy.
Business meetings on energy, mobility, and ICT followed, with participants exploring partnerships between Kazakhstan’s ministries and Korean corporations.
Yuliya Kim, Korea representative for the Alatau City Project, noted Korea’s “strong commitment and technological strength” as key to driving industrial innovation in Kazakhstan.
