Galimzhan Yesenov was previously the owner of the bank.

Co-owner Kaspi.kz Vyacheslav Kim has completed theacquisition of 100% of shares of Alatau City Bank (formerly Jusan Bank) fromits former owner Galimzhan Yesenov. Press-service of financial institutereported to Forbes Kazakhstan on July, 11.

Until that day, Galimzhan Yesenov (19th in the ranking ofthe richest businessmen in 2025 with the capital of $560 million) owned 19,67%of the shares of Jusan Bank directly and 78,11% through First HeartlandSecurities JSC, which he personally owned.

“The acquisition of Alatau City Bank is extremely importantto me, and I plan to implement a fundamentally new financial institution forKazakh market on its basis. I appreciate bank management for the outstandingwork, which has been provided for last 2 years. I`m confident that we willsucceed if we keep all the best practices and rely on accelerated technologicaldevelopment” – Kim commented on his purchase.

Note to remember, Vyacheslav Kim received permission fromthe Agency for Regulation and Development of the Financial Market to acquire amajority stake in Jusan Bank on May, 30.

At the same time, on May 28, Jusan Bank without waiting fora change of shareholder, announced its renaming to Alatau City Bank and evenintroduced a new logo. On this occasion, the press-service of Jusan Bank madethe following comments: “When choosing a new name, we were inspired by theestablishing of mega project Alatau city - the city of the future (…) Inaddition, Alatau City Bank plans to participate in this global project…”However, the bank is not going to change its legal address – head office willremain in Almaty.

On June 16, Jusan Bank completed the state re-registrationprocedure and was officially renamed to Alatau City Bank.
