K-Park, rising within Kazakhstan’s Alatau Smart City, embodies both the resilience of the Koryo-saram - descendants of Korean settlers in the Russian Far East—and their forward-looking vision in Kazakhstan’s digital transformation, said Yuriy Tskhay, founder of the Caspian Group.

“K-Park is not just a memorial, it is a symbol of gratitude toward the Kazakh people and a message to future generations,” Chairman Tskhay told AJP. Nearly every Korean business leader in Kazakhstan has contributed, making it a community-driven initiative.

Alatau City, spanning 880 km² and designed for 1.9 million residents, will integrate finance, industry, tourism, and education across four zones. K-Park will serve as a cultural and business hub for ethnic Koreans throughout Eurasia.

Groundbreaking occurred in September, with completion set for 2027, coinciding with the 90th anniversary of the 1937 Koryo-saram deportation. Chairman Tskhay emphasized that the project celebrates survival, gratitude, and progress.

“Our ancestors focused on survival; now it’s our turn to focus on progress. K-Park will stand as a testament to the generosity of Kazakhstan and the enduring spirit of the Koryo-saram.”
